About MCA Sierra Leone The Millennium Challenge Account (MCA) in Sierra Leone, collaborating with the government of Sierra Leone and the Millennium Challenge Corporation (MCC) of the Government of the United States of America, delivers projects under the $500 million compact that address development challenges in the country through the implementation of the Power Sector Reform Project, the Transmission Backbone Project, and the Distribution and Access Project. Position Objective The Director of GSI provides strategic and technical leadership to the MCA, implementing partners, and project stakeholders to ensure social and gender integration across all project functions. The GSI Director achieves this objective by advising the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) and DCEO - Projects on the performance of each Project Director and their respective teams, lead and manage the implementation of specific GSI focused activities and where necessary, providing technical guidance for GSI-specific activities and to GSI team members to fulfill their respective roles. Given the integrated nature of the Compact, the GSI Director will work in close coordination with other project and sector leads to ensure the timely, effective, and efficient delivery of actions. The GSI Director will provide substantive representation, and support MCA-Sierra Leone leadership to effectively engage relevant government ministries and bodies, international donors and their implementing partners in areas that impact the short and long terms success of the Compact. | |
